The short answer
A free in-person quote means the builder comes to your house, looks at the job, measures, talks through materials with you and gives you one price for the whole job. At Hulsey Construction, Justin or Jacob comes out the same day you call or the next, and the person who quotes the job is the person who builds it.
Who comes out to quote the job?
Hulsey Construction is family-run and owner-operated. Justin Hulsey or his son Jacob comes out, and they are the ones who do the work with our own crew. There is no salesman and no hand-off. One of our customers put it this way.
Real local family business. Honest and Great work on my deck repair. Over and above what was expected. Nice to call and have the people that do the work to give you the price.
What happens at the visit?
- 01
We walk the job
The roof, the deck, the room or the spot in the yard where the new work goes.
- 02
We measure
Size is one of the biggest things that sets the number, so we measure it ourselves.
- 03
We talk materials
Shingle or metal on an outbuilding, wood or composite on a deck, and what you want it to look like.
- 04
You ask questions
Anything you want to know, answered by the person who will do the work.
Most visits take less time than you would think. We would rather spend it on your questions than on a sales pitch.
What should you have ready?
Good to have ready
- Someone home to walk the job with us
- Photos or sketches of what you have in mind
- Where you have seen leaks, soft boards or wear
- Your questions, written down so none get missed
- Your insurance claim paperwork, if a storm did the damage
- A rough idea of when you would like it done
What changes the number?
| What changes | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Size | A bigger roof, deck or room takes more material and more time |
| Materials | Shingle or metal, wood or composite, each costs differently |
| Access | Steep roofs, tight yards and high decks take more work to reach |
| What we find | Rot under old shingles or a worn deck frame adds work |
No prices here. Every job is quoted in person, free.
How fast can the work start, and how long does it take?
The quote comes the same day you call or the next. You get a time for your own job at the visit.
What happens after the quote?
You think it over. Nothing starts until you say go. When you are ready, call 770-880-6549 and we set a start day. When the work is done we walk it with you, and it carries our 5-year workmanship warranty.
